2 Day Phototherapy Course – Birmingham

This 2 day meeting is aimed at nurses working in phototherapy. The course is delivered by highly experienced practitioners and is open to all levels of experience.
It is ideal for those new to phototherapy as well as the more experienced practitioner who is looking for a refresher course.
The following areas will be covered:
- An introduction to UV Light
- Principles of dosimetry
- MED/MPD testing
- Patient assessment
- Delivering safe and effective treatment
- Clinical standards and protocols
- Managing adverse events
- Conditions treated with UV Light
- Psychological care
Delegates new to phototherapy are requested to undertake some basic reading around NBUVB and PUVA.
Delegates are responsible for booking their own overnight accommodation.
